In Vladivostok, Modern Interior Trends Were Discussed
In 2026, color in interior design is increasingly becoming an independent tool for creating unique spaces. Complex shades, combinations of various colors and textures are replacing universal neutral solutions, offering new ways to work with interiors and furniture. These trends were the focus of the traditional Kastamonu Sweet Day event, held in Vladivostok on August 26 and 27.
The event program was divided into two thematic days. The first day was dedicated to new possibilities for working with decorative panels and furniture facades, while the second day focused on modern trends and solutions in the flooring segment.
On August 26, Kastamonu presented the "Kastamonu Customization" project — the first solution in Russia that allows for the creation of double-sided decorative panels, Evosoft and Evogloss, with custom decor combinations. This new approach offers additional opportunities for working with color in interiors: a single panel can combine two different color schemes and be used in space design and as specific interior accents.
Participants of the event discussed how the approach to selecting decorative materials is changing and why custom color combinations are becoming increasingly popular in modern interiors. On the first day, guests were also introduced to the possibilities of using double-sided panels in furniture and interior projects.
On August 27, the Kastamonu Sweet Day program was dedicated to flooring. The focus was on trends currently shaping the interior market: natural shades and textures, the tactile quality of materials, visual spatial integrity, as well as the combination of aesthetics with technological innovation and practicality.
During the event, participants were introduced to Kastamonu's solutions for various interior tasks. These included the stone-polymer composite Craft Core, the premium laminate brand La Moena, and laminated flooring options Floorpan and Sunfloor. Guests discussed the current requirements of designers and consumers for flooring, as well as the specific criteria for choosing materials for modern interiors.
A notable part of the program was the demonstration of Craft Core's performance characteristics. In an unusual crash test, guests witnessed how the stone-polymer composite withstands intense pressure without scratching: horses walked across the flooring, yet the material maintained its appearance.
"From Pyatigorsk to Vladivostok — this year, the Kastamonu Sweet Day marathon brought together interior industry professionals from various parts of the country. For us, it’s an opportunity to meet partners and designers personally, discuss market changes, exchange ideas, and introduce the professional community to new solutions. One such solution is the 'Kastamonu Customization' project, whose philosophy is: 'One product. Two colors. Space transformation.' We offer designers creative freedom and a new tool for working with color — the ability to boldly combine, experiment, and create interiors with character," shared Olga Klyueva, Head of Marketing at Kastamonu Russia.
