Kastamonu Participated in Moscow Interior and Design Week

Kastamonu took part in the Moscow Interior and Design Week, held in Moscow from August 13 to 16. As part of the business program, the company organized two expert discussions with representatives from the design and architecture industries and showcased innovative solutions for modern interiors. The central theme of Kastamonu’s participation was the project "Customization of Double-Sided Interior Facades," a premiere unveiling new opportunities for working with decorative panels.

"Kastamonu Customization" — A New Approach to Tailored Interior Solutions
The project introduced a new principle: "One Product. Two Colors. Infinite Combinations." At its core are double-sided decorative panels, Evosoft and Evogloss, which allow for different decors on the outer and inner sides of a single panel. This approach provides designers with greater freedom in working with color and transforms even the interior spaces of furniture into an integral part of the overall design composition.

"For us, it’s not just about what we produce but, more importantly, why we do it. Materials should empower individuals and designers to transform spaces, making them unique and personal. That’s the essence of the 'Kastamonu Customization' project: one product, two colors, and the transformation of space. We’re offering not just a new product but a new level of design freedom — the ability to experiment, find unique combinations, and create spaces that reflect a person’s character," said Cenk Büyüktoğrul, Sales and Marketing Director of Kastamonu Russia.

Panel Discussions and Expert Insights
On August 14, the project’s ambassador, showbiz star and restoration workshop owner Timofey Pronkin, joined Cenk Büyüktoğrul and Olga Klyueva, Head of Marketing at Kastamonu Russia, in a panel discussion titled "How Design Changes Human Life and Cities" on the Main Stage. The experts explored how interior design and architecture influence daily life, emotional well-being, and the perception of urban spaces, as well as the role of design in shaping the identity of spaces and urban development.

"Restoration has taught me one simple truth: truly good materials don’t lose their value over time. Durability and quality are not just technical characteristics or fancy words; they are the real foundation of a space that retains its value over time," noted Timofey Pronkin.

"For Kastamonu, 'Color. Energy. Towards a Dream' is not just a slogan but the philosophy of our brand. Color inspires. Energy emerges from combinations. And a dream becomes part of the space we live in. This is the idea we’ve embodied in the 'Kastamonu Customization' project. For us, customization is much more than choosing a decor. It’s about personalization, the freedom to combine colors, and creating solutions that reflect a person’s character, taste, and individuality. We want to give designers the freedom to go beyond standard ready-made solutions and create interiors with character — spaces that resonate with a person’s taste, lifestyle, and essence," emphasized Olga Klyueva.

Focus on Design Freedom and Individuality
On August 16, a panel discussion titled "Kastamonu Customization" took place on the Main Stage. Participants included designer, blogger, and founder of TB.Design architecture and design bureau Tatyana Bezverkhaya; designer-decorator Sara Mikhailova; leading designer of the Marideco studio and creator of Kastamonu’s booth, Ekaterina Belova; and Tatyana Abrosimova, Product Manager of Kastamonu Russia. They presented the "Customization" project and discussed the possibilities of personalizing serial solutions, working with colors and textures, and new approaches to creating unique interiors.

Kastamonu’s range of decorative panels includes about 100 designs, offering vast opportunities for personalized combinations. Color becomes more than a decorative element; it serves as a tool for designers to craft their own visual codes and give interiors a distinctive character.

The concept of duality was also embedded in the architecture of Kastamonu’s booth. Its design was inspired by the reimagined form of a tesseract — a "cube within a cube" — where space becomes a play of dimensions. This principle was also reflected in the booth’s layout, which featured two cabinets, two ottomans, two benches, two chairs, and two entrance portals. One of the cabinets was made double-sided using the newly introduced decorative panels, visually demonstrating the project’s capabilities.

Additional features included the bionic benches "Gravity" and a photo zone. In the interactive area, visitors could explore samples of double-sided panels and mix and match them to evaluate various decor combinations.

"A well-thought-out interior significantly influences our mood, comfort, and sense of space. Color plays a special role here: it sets the tone and helps express individuality. It’s important not to fear experimentation, to try new combinations, and to go beyond conventional solutions. This is how interiors with character are born," noted interior designer Tatyana Bezverkhaya, founder of TB.Design, Superkvartiry, and the FURFUR brand.

Showcasing Flagship Flooring Brands
The Kastamonu booth also displayed flagship flooring brands, including the premium laminate La Moena and Floorpan, as well as the stone-polymer composite Craft Core. These materials were used as decorative elements in the booth’s design, showcasing their versatility not only as flooring but also as materials for creating striking interior solutions on horizontal, vertical, and even volumetric surfaces.
