Kastamonu – Partner of the Business Program at MosBuild 2026 Exhibition
Kastamonu became a partner of the 31st International Building & Interior Exhibition MosBuild 2026, held in Moscow from March 31 to April 3. As part of the event, the company organized a professional session featuring renowned experts from the Russian interior design market.
The Kastamonu Auditorium hosted prominent experts in the fields of design and architecture. Among the participants were Evgeny Tyurin, President of the Union of Designers and Architects; Timofey Pronkin, a show-business star and owner of a restoration workshop; and Sara Mikhaylova, an outstanding decorator-designer, ranked in the Top 100 best designers in the world by Andrew Martin Review 2024-2025 and in the Top 100 best designers in Russia.
Additionally, Kastamonu speakers took part in the Decorium design lecture series with the topic “Materials That Won’t Let You Down: How to Choose Finishes That Last for Years.” In their presentations, they delved into practical aspects of selecting finishing materials for interior and construction projects, shared key durability criteria, discussed the technological features of coatings, and highlighted factors affecting the lifespan of materials under intensive use.
“It’s important to think not only about how a material looks right after renovation but also about how it will perform over time — in three to five years. Often, issues arise not due to quality but because real usage conditions were not considered,” commented Sara Mikhaylova.
Kastamonu experts also participated in a strategic session at the DIY Forum, where they discussed the transformation of the building materials market and new opportunities for manufacturers amidst economic instability. The discussion focused on changes in consumer demand, the evolution of distribution channels, and the adaptation of production strategies to changing market conditions.
“Today, customers are increasingly choosing manufacturers who back up their claims with real actions. A striking example is Kastamonu's experiment conducted right at an airport. Over one million steps were taken on their laminated flooring — equivalent to approximately 12 years of active use in a kitchen by a family of three! Most importantly, the results fully met the declared characteristics: Kastamonu floors truly don’t scratch. Furthermore, I highly appreciated the premium laminate La Moena for its ability to create an atmosphere of warmth and family comfort, thanks to the synergy of Turkish and Italian cultures. It also offers a wide range of solutions to bring any design idea to life,” noted Timofey Pronkin.
Additionally, Kastamonu experts conducted a workshop on working with the stone-polymer composite Craft Core, where they detailed its installation features and laying techniques. The workshop provided a step-by-step breakdown of the installation process for the innovative Craft Core flooring. Participants explored the nuances and various laying patterns of planks to achieve aesthetically expressive interior solutions. The Craft Core stone-polymer composite is not only incredibly beautiful but also offers several advantages: it is coated with a protective layer that prevents wear and scratching, and it is moisture-resistant, making it ideal for any room in the house.
Moreover, a lecture dedicated to the premium flooring brand La Moena was held at the Kastamonu lecture hall. A company expert presented new laminate collections and thoroughly examined the technical characteristics of the coverings: thanks to the surface structure, the laminate is easy to clean, resists stains, and is scratch-, wear-, moisture-, and heat-resistant.
“Today, it’s critically important for the claimed characteristics of materials to exist not only in presentations but to fully deliver in reality. If a consumer’s expectations align with what they receive in practice — without surprises or ‘fine print’ — they won’t hesitate to return to you next time to bring their ideas to life,” noted Evgeny Tyurin.
“For Kastamonu, participation in MosBuild is primarily an opportunity for live dialogue with industry experts and creative collaboration with designers and architects. We believe that truly inspiring interiors are born in partnerships, and as per our brand slogan, the color and energy of a space lead toward the dream of a perfect interior. Following our mission to bring comfort and coziness to every home, we present premium flooring from the brands La Moena, Floorpan, and Craft Core, designed to serve as the foundation for bold ideas and daring design solutions,” emphasized Olga Klyueva, Head of Marketing at Kastamonu Russia.
