Our History

  • 1937

    The foundations of Hayat Holding were laid.

  • 1969

    Kastamonu Entegre was established in Istanbul to operate in the wood-based panel industry.

  • 1971

    Kastamonu Particle Board Factory, its first production facility, started operations.

  • 1975

    The second particle board production line began production at the Kastamonu Factory.

  • 1994

    Turkey's first continuous MDF plant was commissioned in Gebze.

  • 1998

    With the purchase of S.C Prolemn S.A company in Romania, Kastamonu Entegre's, at the same time Turkish industry's first overseas acquisition was realized.

  • 1999

    Laminate flooring manufacturing operations started in Gebze.

  • 2000

    As the second overseas investment, Gabrovnitsa A.D. particle board plant, which was located at the Kazanlak region of Bulgaria was purchased.

  • 2002

    The first door skin plant was commissioned in Romania.

  • 2003

    The second MDF plant was commissioned in Gebze.

  • 2005

    Balıkesir Particle Board Plant started manufacturing operations.

  • 2005

    The Kraft Packaging & Paper Plant started manufacturing operations in Bosnia-Herzegovina as  part of the third overseas investment.

  • 2006

    The 2nd door skin plant was commissioned in Romania.

  • 2007

    Tever Particle Board Plant based in Gebze was acquired.

  • 2008

    MDF and laminate flooring manufacturing started at the plant established in Kastamonu Organized Industrial Zone.

  • 2009

    Yontaş Particle Board Plant located in Samsun and production started at the facility.

  • 2010

    Samedoğlu Particle Board Plant located in Tarsus was purchased and production started at the facility.

  • 2010

    The new continuous particle board production line in the Gebze Plant started production.

  • 2012

    Adana MDF plant started production.

  • 2012

    Romania Particle Board Facility started production.

  • 2014

    Kastamonu Russia MDF Plant started manufacturing operations as part of the fourth overseas investment.

  • 2015

    Kastamonu USA was founded in Jacksonville, the port city located in Florida USA, to manage the wood chip supply and logistics processes.

  • 2016

    The 2nd MDF line was commissioned at Kastamonu Russia.

  • 2017

    As the fifth investment overseas, particle board production facilities located in Pomposa and Frossasco, which belonged to Gruppo Trombini, Italy's third largest particle board producer, were purchased.

  • 2018

    Particle board production started in Pomposa Facility of Kastamonu Italy.

  • 2018

    R&D department has been moved to Teknopark Istanbul.

  • 2019

    The first phase of continuous particle board facility investment in Bulgaria was completed. The old single daylight opening press  particle board plant has been out of use.

  • 2019

    Kastamonu Entegre was published the first sustainability report.

  • 2020

    A new investment was given a start, which will transform the existing the old single daylight opening press  particle board plant in Samsun into a continuous facility.

  • 2021

    The new continous particle board facility was commissioned. The old single daylight opening press  particle board plant has been out of use.

  • 2021

    The investment of a new MDF plant worth 166 million euros started in Balikesir.

  • 2021

    KEAS Concept Studio, the new meeting point of the design world, was opened in headquarters, İstanbul.

  • 2023

    A new  particle board plant worth 175 million euros  started production in Kastamonu.
