A global brand in the wood-based panel industry, Kastamonu Entegre has maintained its solid market position by rising to 61st place in this year’s Capital 500 list. Leading the Turkish industry, the company continues its stable, innovation- and sustainability-driven growth with a turnover of TRY 65.6 billion, exports to more than 100 countries across six continents, innovative products, and clean energy production equivalent to the needs of 100,000 homes.
A pioneer in the wood-based panel industry, Kastamonu Entegre secured the 61st position in the Capital 500 ranking – an annual survey conducted by the monthly business magazine Capital, which lists the 500 largest private companies in Turkey. With a turnover of TRY 65.6 billion based on 2024 year-end figures, the company reinforced its leading position in the industry through a strong production infrastructure, eco-friendly investments, and an active presence in international markets.
A robust global network
With 56 years of industry experience, Kastamonu Entegre is a leading player in the global market. With an annual production capacity of over 7 million cubic meters, the company ranks third in Europe and fourth globally in MDF and particleboard production. Operating five facilities in Turkey and production sites in six other countries, the company stands as a powerful representative of Turkish industry on the global stage, with an export volume exceeding $330 million.
Thanks to its integrated investments in Italy, Russia, Bulgaria, and Romania, Kastamonu Entegre established one of the industry’s most extensive production networks. The company continues to grow with an export network that spans over 100 countries across six continents, accounting for 7% of global laminate flooring production alone.
Sustainability in every step from raw materials to manufacturing
In 2024, Kastamonu Entegre reached a new milestone in environmental performance. Using its biomass and solar power plants, the company supplies clean energy equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 100,000 homes. Its energy efficiency initiatives at Adana facility earned recognition from the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology. Reflecting its circular economy approach in its product range, the company introduced the concept of “waste to resource” to the market with innovative panels such as decorative boards made from coffee grounds and 100% bio-based PureBoard. It ranked among the top in Turkey for R&D spending and solidified its leadership in innovation within the industry.
As one of the leading contributors to climate-focused transformation under the EU Green Deal in Turkey, Kastamonu Entegre has been tracking its carbon footprint since 2015. Its 2019 sustainability report was the first of its kind in the industry in Turkey and among the few examples globally.
Additionally, the company began adopting its 100% recycled production model, which was launched in Italy, at its Gebze, Balıkesir, and Romania plants. With its recycling facilities in Gebze and Balıkesir, it aims to recirculate into economy 300,000 tons of wood waste annually.
